The WHO growth charts were built from healthy, exclusively breastfed babies. That makes them the natural reference for how a breastfed baby is expected to grow.
The WHO standard is breastfed-based
The WHO Child Growth Standards (2006) come from breastfed infants in six countries. They describe growth under ideal feeding conditions — the bar your breastfed baby is measured against.
The first months
Breastfed babies typically gain quickly in the first three months, then settle into a steadier curve. Some drop a percentile or two in the second half of the first year and that is usually normal.
Feed on demand, measure on schedule
Breastfed babies grow on their own timetable. Track weight and length at the usual checkups and watch the trend; the number from one feeding-to-feeding weigh-in tells you very little.
A chart that matches your baby
GrowChart plots breastfed babies on the WHO standards that were designed for them, keeping the full curve so the steady story stays visible.
